Vancouver Survives Shark Attack in San Jose

Yesterday, the Canucks played game 4 of their series vs the San Jose Sharks, but the action was slow until the end of the 2nd period. The Canucks killed off 5 STRAIGHT penalties, and then scored 3 STRAIGHT power-play goals (some on 5-on-3 situations) to take a commanding 3-0 lead. Ryan Kesler and Sami Salo scored those goals and the Canucks headed into the locker room up by three goals after the 2nd period ended. In the 3rd, San Jose outshot Vancouver 17-3 and outshot the Canucks for the game by a count of 35-13. Goaltender Roberto Luongo was great in net, stopping 33 of 35 shots and allowing the Canucks to get into the game. Alex Burrows would score the final goal for Vancouver in the 3rd period to seal the deal. San Jose's goals were scored by Andrew Desjardins and Ryan Clowe. Now, Vancouver has a chance to go to the Stanley Cup Finals for the first time since 1994. First off however, they must win one more game in the series. Game 5 goes tomorrow night back in Vancouver at 9 PM. The game can be seen on CBC. Canucks Win Crucial Game 4 vs Sharks (recap)

Well, that's it. Until tomorrow night's game, stay cool.
