Some Leftovers

Just wanted to post about the Wings victory last night in Game 6. They won 3-1 to tie the series vs the San Jose Sharks at 3 apiece. Henrik Zetterberg, Valtteri Flippula, and Darren Helm scored for Detroit while Logan Couture scored the Sharks only goal. All of the goals were scored in the 3rd period. Shots on goal for the game were 45-25 for Detroit. Jimmy Howard played great for Detroit, stopping 24 of the 25 shots that he faced, while his opponent Antti Niemi stopped 42 of 44 shots. The final Detroit goal was an empty-netter by Darren Helm. Here's the boxscore. Also too, Vancouver recently finished off the Nashville Predators in Game 6 at Nashville. The final was 2-1. Here's the recap. All Vancouver has to do now is wait until Detroit and San Jose finish off their series which will happen tomorrow night in San Jose. The teams will play Game 7 in the series and it will start at 9 PM. It should be a good one! Meanwhile, you all take care.
