Jays Defeat White Sox, Finish at .500

Well, yesterday was the final day of the season for the Jays - a chance to go out on a winning note - and they did just that by defeating Chicago 3-2 to finish at 81-81. Starter Brendan Morrow didn't get the win, but he DID manage to become the 4th Blue Jay ever to finish a season with at least 200 strikeouts! Pretty impressive, isn't it? Anyways, about the game...the team trailed 2-1 going into the 9th inning but they managed to get the bases loaded against reliever Chris Sale who actually WALKED IN the tying run! When I saw that on TV I laughed out loud while eating dinner. Afterwards, the pitcher did it AGAIN to give Toronto the lead! Well, I have to say, "Thanks, Chicago for giving us the win!" So it was all good in the end. What we got was a solid, average season by a team battered with injuries, many roster changes, and inconsistencies. That about does it for Jays recaps.
